Damian Wojciechowski SJ was born in 1968 in Lublin (eastern Poland). He was granted Master degree in Philosophy in Krakow. He started working as a journalist and producer in Polish public television in 1991 and at the same time he managed to establish an independent film and television production studio. From 1996 he was working in Siberia as a correspondent for Polish public television and as a director of an independent television production studio in Novosibirsk www.kana.ru. In 2004 he graduated the Director and Scriptwriter Moscow Academy. He has been organizing mountain expeditions for 20 years already, especially in Siberia (Altay, Sayan, Kamchatka, Baykal) and Tien-shan. He has been living in Kyrgyzstan for the last two years (Dzhalal-Abad (Dzalalabad) – south Kyrgyzstan).

He can speak fluent Russian, English and German and understand French and Italian.
